2011
Rockin' Recorders of Wortham were featured at the State Convention of the Texas Federation of Music Clubs with much admiration.
Showing Academic Excellence in All Areas of Music Study: Vocal, Instrumental, Composition, Theory, HIstorical, and Multicultural. The Winners of the All-Star Music Award have provided mentorship for others in the music class environment and have advanced to represent the community of Wortham in and outside the district.
2013-2014
The music students at Wortham Elementary School will have music on alternate days beginning the school year. Be ready for a great, educational, and fun-filled year with so many ideas already in the making.
The Annual Curriculum is designed for students' talents and needs and is outlined by the Texas Essential Knowledge Skills required for elementary music education in our state. The following disciplines are addressed each year:
Music History
Music Performance
Audience Etiquette
Instrumental Ensemble Playing
Vocal Ensemble Performance
Music Composition and Theory
Multicultural Awareness
A program and/or musical presentation is given by each grade level throughout the year. Extracurricular groups are scheduled before and after school hours.

Extracurricular choirs, solo and ensemble groups meet at regularly scheduled performance times before and after school.

The 2013 NTCC Satellite Group wins "All Round Large Ensemble Award in the District Jr. Festival of the Texas FEderation of Music Clubs February 2013.
Three Students from Wortham Elementary School become part of the 2012 Texas Choral Directors Association Honor Choir to sing at the Annual conference in San Antonio. Mary Goetze, a commissioned Songwriter personalizes a copy of "Wink to the Baby".
